One would think Tori Spelling would take any paying gig she could get. Think again.

Tori has decided to back out of the new "90210" remake, reports Nikki Finke, and get this -- it's because she isn't getting paid enough. Apparently Tori was offered between $10 and $20 grand per episode, while Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth will be raking in between $35 and $50,000.

So you just get the news that a really good friend of yours has died. You walk into a room for privacy. What to do? Grieve? Reflect? No, if you're the star of Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing," you get on the horn to score the listing on the dead guy's home.
Josh Flagg, the punk who was just busted for allegedly stealing expensive paintings from the estates he was selling, is one of the show's stars. In the first episode of season two, Josh's pal, legendary Hollywood publicist Jay Bernstein, had just passed away. That's when Josh did what he does best ... operate without soul.
And under the category "takes one to know one" -- during another part of the show, Josh and his pal, Jason "Gummi Bear" Davis, talked about faking their own deaths to see who would show up to the funerals, so they could judge who their "real friends" are.
We're guessing a phone booth could more than handle the guests.

Either Regis Philbin gracefully floats between multiple personalities, or Regis just likes talking about Regis in the third person.
Regis told our "papper" about how Regis gave the Palm Restaurant a photo of Regis 30 years ago, and how Regis is gonna give them another pic of Regis now. Regis' point? Regis is proud of how well Regis has aged.

Christina Milian is suing a famous record producer, claiming he puts the low in "Dip it Low."
Rewind to 2003. Christina records her first U.S. album for Island Def Jam. Poli Paul, a defendant, is the producer. Paul wrote the song "Dip It Low," which turned into a monster hit. But here's the rub -- according to the lawsuit, filed just minutes ago in L.A. County Superior Court, Milian claims Paul "very definitively" assured her "there were no samples whatsoever in ...'Dip It Low.'"
So imagine her shock when three guys -- Thomas Turino, Larry Crook and Dan Dickey -- sued her! They released an album in 1983 called "La Sirena." According to the suit, Paul was in a Pasadena, CA record store, liked the song, and looped a 12-second sample of it into "Dip It Low."
The suit claims Christina spent more than $300,000 to defend herself in the case against her and eventually settled. She now wants Paul and his associate, Spencer Cowlings Entertainment, to pay what she's out.
Christina's killer lawyer, Ed McPherson, wants the $300 grand plus punitive damages.

A new reality show billed as "The Hills" set on Capitol Hill is about to start filming in D.C., with just one problem: they're a having a tough time casting people with a Y chromosome.
As we reported earlier, episodes will center around bombshell Katherine Kennedy (above) and her friends' extensive charity work. Of course it'll all devolve into party, party, cat fight, bitch, bitch, bitch faster than you can say "I did not sleep with that woman." And there's more!

A man who worked for the "Dr. Phil" show is suing CBS, claiming he was fired because of his prostate cancer.

Martin Barsnack claims the show hired him to do "production work" back in 2006 for $29.42 an hour. Barsnack claims in September of 2007 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He told his supervisor Loma Renee Tanz he would be taking a leave of absence to undergo treatment.
According to the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Barsnack alleges his surgery was delayed, but in November 2007 Tanz told him "Your job is here, take your time."
But Barsnack claims when he was ready to return to work last April, he was told "there was not any work for him."
Barsnack is suing for unspecified damages. We're awaiting a response to an email sent to Paramount.

First of all, Sherman Hemsley still is alive. Secondly, we found a lawsuit where two guys are in a dogfight over his residuals.
Poor George went broke in the mid '90's. Two guys, William Little and David Pullman, bought the actor's residuals from "The Jefferson's" and other shows. They got into a fight and, according to the suit, Little paid Pullman $42,500. In return, Pullman allegedly released all claims to the residuals.
Fast forward to April 2008, when the Screen Actors Guild had a check for Hemsley's residuals. The grand total -- $10,000. In the lawsuit filed Monday in L.A. County Superior Court, Little claims Pullman has contacted SAG, demanding that the money be withheld from Little.
Little is suing for $25,000.01. The penny is for that Old Navy commercial.

What if you held "American Idol" auditions and no one showed up?! Not paging Nigel Lythgoe!
On Saturday, "A.I." held one of their typical open call auditions in San Juan, Puerto Rico and instead of the usual capacity crowds lined up practicing their awful renditions of tired Whitney Houston standards, according to El Nuevo Dia, only around 300 fools turned out. Ay dios mio! In contrast, last month 7,000 wannabe Taylor Hicks' camped out overnight at auditions held in Northern California.
In other words, don't expect to see a Spanish-language Carrie Underwood album anytime soon.

If James "Scotty" Doohan from "Star Trek" was alive today, he wouldn't be happy with what just happened to his ashes.
Doohan's ashes, along with 200 other people's remains, were supposed to be released into space on Saturday night by a rocket also carrying three satellites -- but the rocket never made it into orbit. It's currently in a bunch of pieces in a bunch of different places.
Real-life astronaut and original Mercury 7 crew member Gordon Cooper's ashes also were lost during the botched mission.
